Brooklyn photographer Joey L has been working for many years the project "Holy Men", which contains a huge number of photos of ascetics from around the world.

Joe went to India (for the third time) in March 2011 and spent a whole month there, collecting information and photos of the monks in Varanasi, the most holy of the seven sacred cities of Hinduism and one of the oldest cities in the world. In the lens of his camera fell people who abandoned all earthly in the pursuit of spiritual liberation.

In traveling with Joe was director Cale Glendening and photographer Ryan McCarney, assistant Joe. Cale every day, along with Joe, traveled around the city and the surrounding area and filmed everything on his video camera, by the end of the journey a documentary film "Beyond":
