Interior of the apartment with a view of Brooklyn

Today we will introduce visitors to a man whose thoughts can flow high in the clouds, but his heart is forever occupied by his own house, which is a kind of unique artwork.

If you see a house with a breathtaking view of the lower Manhattan, you are likely to be visited by two bright associations: a small and tight shoebox and a gold-plated penthouse.

It was this that occurred to real estate broker Zelde Josephs, who, basking in the city beach of New York, noticed a spacious and light platform filled with sunlight on the 22nd floor of a building called Brooklyn Heights.

This apartment has snow-white walls, rich floors of natural wood, a small amount of high-quality pieces of handmade furniture that seamlessly fit into space, as if surrounded by bright red lipstick, creating your personal, unique personality.

Moreover, a huge terrace with a place for the formation of flower beds allows the hostess to feel, she practically hovers over the entire urban landscape.

The only thing that she is getting used to is with great difficulty, this is the location on the very top of the skyscraper. According to Zelda herself, for several years she learned to cope with the height and wind, but during the hurricane Sandy she still had to go down.

Who lives here: Zelda Josephs. Location: Brooklyn Heights, New York neighborhood. Size: 350 square meters; 1 bedroom, 2 bathrooms, office.

Painted in a scarlet tone, stools and chairs seem to give a fashionable kiss to the snow-white walls and the floor of the warm Brazilian nut. The mistress of the house, probably, too often sat on bar stools in New York, before to understand, what is it its style.

Before installing them in the kitchen, she doubted between red and black colors, but the compatibility of red with the rest of the interior tones won.

A spacious terrace and a blooming garden are just a few steps away from the living room. A breathtaking view of Manhattan appears at a distance, like the Emerald City from Oz.

When you first see this place, with unaccustomed breathtaking and becomes a little scary, but Zelda's son at first sight fell in love with him, which he told his mother. Then the decision was made finally.

Several well-chosen elements of furniture fill the spaces of those places from which you can not see the magnificent scenery.

Each room should have pieces of a kind of puzzle that Josephs began to collect several years ago. It includes furniture made by her favorite artist Jake Solomon: a dining table, a coffee table and a desk in the office. They were purchased in 1979 and 1980 on sales, and over the years, Zelda began to love and appreciate them even more.

When Joseph bought an apartment, the kitchen was gloomy and cramped. Later, she decided to hang a few more lockers over the bar, which finally ruined the interior. As a result, the kitchen was reconstructed and received an open, free space, not devoid of some chic.

Not surprisingly, the apartment located on the 22nd floor of the building is literally soaked with natural light. In the main bedroom there are pieces of furniture inherited by the hostess, as well as two very attractive art canvases that, with their simplicity, brighten up the decor of the room.

There is a cozy blue armchair in which she liked to rest after school of Zelda, when she was still quite a child.

This is where Josephs placed the dressing table, which still belonged to her mother, whom she admired as a child. It consists of an old mirror and an elegant table with many retractable drawers.

On the snow-white bedroom wall directly on the head of the bed hangs a single canvas, immediately attracting attention. This unusual painting belongs to the brush of the Dutch artist, and it seals the Italian love message, which must be solved precisely in the bedroom. This unique accent gives the interior a delicate piquancy.

The bathroom has an original sink, as if glued to the wall. This is a designer plumbing from the store "Travertine", which in the world there are only two copies. The models liked by Zelda were already sold to another client, but the masters managed to persuade to make another set.

In the bathroom, an orange-cream tone predominates, reflected in the designer mirror, as if the sun comes from the street here.

When Josephs moved to her apartment, and it was back in the 1980s, the living room and kitchen were completely separated. Zelda maximally opened the space and expanded the kitchen to create a sense of continuity, which is typical of a large city.
