We continue our series of articles, slowly but surely, growing into a separate interesting section, about the incredible adventures of "our" in Goa. Today we will tell you about an unusual local event - the carnival of freaks!
The annual carnival in Arambol is also called the freer parade. Crowds of bright and happy aborigines of northern Goa go to the beach, in a single stream and to the music to walk a few kilometers along the shore. It is a holiday of freedom, spontaneity, talents and unrestrained fun. Hundreds of mimed freaks carry their images to each other and all those who decided to join this holiday of life:
A couple of years ago, the festival tried to ban because of two Russian girls. Instead of suits, they chose a bare chest, pre-coloring it. The Indians did not like it, which is strange. Usually, they do not feed them, give them a stare at naked women. But the Goan old-timers probably remember and not like that. The first freestyle fest was held in Arambol eleven years ago, when there were no complexes and bans on the bare body on these beaches:
Suits of all ages are submissive. From year to year a carnival is given a certain theme: comics, Indian epic, myths. This time the topic was a fairy tale. This man is obviously Pierrot:
But most often the theme of the festival is just an optional condition. Everyone is free to appear in the image that is closer and more understandable. First of all, to myself:
Suppose this is Robinson:
Indian theme is always popular, by default:
Variations on the theme of the Joker and a man in a white mask. Pay attention to the inscription: "Enjoy life and relax. Everything's under control". About what the mask itself said:
For some, a freestyle feast is a great opportunity to finally show everyone their alter ego:
In India, not without the Indian gods. And Shiva was here, drank venom and blue. All of the sastras:
And mother Kali, also in blue, descended from heaven:
In a particularly calm frame of mind she looked like this:
Some freaks came without a suit. For example, our friend is a Frenchman Philip. Yes, he looks so always, from day to day. For the sake of the festival, perhaps, I got a smart staff somewhere:
Kids, of course, love this day. Boys usually dress up as pirates, and girls, mostly fairies:
If there is no unique costume (without it it's boring here), then the camera will save. In the image of the paparazzi there are usually not less people than in any other:
Frick-fest - a large-scale event. On the merry madmen from all over the world always come to admire professional Goan media. What the Indian reporter broadcasts this cosmic ichthyander remains behind the scenes:
