This week, BMW promised to introduce its new concept Active Tourer Outdoor. The car is created specially for fans of productive leisure and is positioned as the tourist car. The concept is maximally thought out from the point of view of transportation of all kinds of equipment. The novelty is the "descendant" of the car Active Tourer, presented last year, the first in the history of front-wheel drive BMW. Its main advantage is attention to the needs of people who do not think themselves without bicycles, rock climbing or long hiking. In BMW note that the concept, despite its size, was very spacious. Active Tourer Outdoor offers a new idea of ​​using space: the concept's luggage compartment is equipped with an entire system of fasteners, allowing it to carry two bicycles at the same time.

The concept is equipped with a huge panoramic roof, 8-inch display and communication system BMW Connected Drive. Power installation prototype has received from its predecessor Active Tourer. It consists of an electric motor and a 1.5-liter petrol engine with a turbo-supercharger with a total capacity of 190 horsepower. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h prototype takes less than 8 seconds, and its maximum speed exceeds 200 km / h - while fuel consumption is claimed at 2.5 liters per 100 km. 30 km concept can overcome on electric traction with the petrol engine switched off.
