Robotic suit HAL (Hybrid Assistive Limb), manufactured by Cyberdyne, in Japan, finally received international safety approval. Developed exoskeleton for 20 years at the University of Tsukuba, and is currently being introduced into the medical system of Japan. For the last year the company Cyberdyne leased about 330 copies. First of all, HAL was developed for the elderly, and people with disabilities. Costume equipped with a 22-pound battery, which is attached to the waist, the limbs of the suit, attached to the legs, and allow the owner to walk, and even climb the stairs.
Modifications HAL-5 will provide its carrier with the ability to lift and carry objects that are five times the maximum weight of the average person. But this modification is still only at the testing stage.
