In 2159 on earth there are two classes of people: very rich, who live on a built space station called Elysium, and all the other people living in overpopulated and almost destroyed land. Secretary Josie Foster, a rigid government element that will stop at nothing to accept anti-immigration laws and preserve the luxurious lifestyle of Elysium citizens. When the miserable Max (Matt Damon) turns out to be cornered, he agrees to take on a difficult mission, which, if successful, will not only help save his life, but he can bring equality in two polarized worlds.
