If visitors to our resource want to see a really unusual interior, they should be interested in this apartment in Heleneborgsgatan street in Stockholm. For three decades, it was used exclusively as a storage for furniture until it was put up for sale in 2012.

In 80 years of the last century, her former master planned to make repairs, but soon fell ill, and his idea was not implemented until his death.

The apartment was a rather sad sight: ragged wallpaper, lack of electricity, rats in the bathroom. Given the difficult housing situation in a city like Stockholm, it was simply impossible to pass this apartment for the designer Karin Matz.

She tried to preserve all the layers of the history of this apartment and at the same time fill it with new events. Therefore, on an area of ​​only 36 squares, she designed everything as her previous owner wanted: a large amount of free space, a comfortable bathroom, a full set of necessary household appliances. At the same time, the interior should have felt light.

Thus, the apartment was divided into two parts. In the first made a remake based on Ikea furniture: all the walls and surfaces are snow-white, reflecting the sunlight penetrating through the window, a new technique. There are also one above the other bedroom and storage systems of things and clothes.

In the second part there is no such compactness, all objects are placed freely, as it was before. The walls are cleaned of wallpaper and paint, the holes are sealed, the wires and sockets are located on top of the walls. The connecting link between these two parts was the bathroom.
