The production premises of the former bakery were converted into residential apartments in the late 1980s. Now City View House, whose reconstruction is completed in 2013, is a fashionable lodging in London (England).
The wall coverings of the first floor have been removed, and an amazing studio apartment has turned out. During the renovation, a large window was cut from the east side. Now it receives the rays of the morning sun. Interior decoration is played in a modern style with the addition of retroaccents. Furniture is modest and ascetic, combines vintage with minimalism. The lack of textiles on the windows makes it possible to contemplate the urban landscape.
The lighting solution attracts attention. Traditional chandeliers here replace large incandescent lamps without plafonds. They are complemented by concise sconces and a floor lamp. In the dining area, the gray plafond of a strange shape can be regarded as a powerful decorative accent.
A painted wooden floor made of boards with a story is decided on the contrast of black and white, it looks like a tile laid. Large sliding partitions retain the common space and openness of space. At the same time, they can always be closed, as a result of which the owners can retire, for example in the bedroom. The stairs leading to the mezzanine are rebuilt and lead to a guest room and a storage room.
