Most recently, our editorial team met with a young and talented photographer from Ukraine, Alexander Pechersky. Alexander just returned from filming and kindly agreed to give us an exclusive interview, as well as share his latest works.
Hello, Alexander. I would like to start our communication with a little story about you. Please tell us a little about yourself.
I was born in Chisinau. In connection with the fact that I was born in a military family and we had to constantly move, I still loved to travel since my childhood. I live in the city of Zaporozhye, Ukraine. He graduated from KhAI (Kharkov Aviation Institute) and worked as an engineer.
Alexander, how long did you start taking photos? How did you come to realize that this is exactly what you would like to do all your life and what contributed to it?
I decided to take a picture a year ago. I, like all at first, took pictures of my friends. I shot banal portraits to learn how to just click on a button and watch what light, composition, emotion is. Then I noticed that I was able to catch the emotions of people that I began to convey through the camera lens.
How often do you go on trips, where did you go? I think it's great to be outside your home, to see something new, while doing your favorite thing?
On trips I often visit Ukraine, but in the near future I plan to visit the CIS countries. I really love spontaneous trips, new acquaintances. There were cases when I went to the model, overcoming more than 1000 km.
There are many genres of photography, such as: portrait photography, landscape. Alexander, tell me, what genres do you work in?
I work in the genre of an artistic portrait. There are people who create rules, but there are some that follow them. Those who create, become leading in all industries. I'm getting closer to creating my own unique photo shoots. It seemed to me that in this genre there are no rules, here you do and create a new one, in which everyone is directly and individually.
Did you participate in exhibitions, give master classes?
This year I participated in the Zaporozhye exhibition, my work was noted among the best in the gallery of Art-Lenin. Master classes I did not give, because I believe that I am still learning and improving myself, or else they say: "I take pictures, because I do not know how."
Could you tell us about your plans, are there any big projects that you want to realize in the near future?
There are a lot of new projects in my plans, so stay tuned on the page until I disclose all the secrets.
Inspiration is something that is difficult to understand, which allows you to create the beautiful, makes everyone admire your work. Tell me, what inspires you, where do you get new ideas for your photos?
I'm inspired, directly by human emotions, because emotions are an endless stream of ideas in our lives.
How do you find models for your photo sessions, do you have a permanent team with which you work or in each city have to collect a new one?
Models I find through a contact, thanks to him there is a huge access to the choice of models. Previously, it was difficult to find models I would like to remove, for lack of a portfolio of their work. In each city I have a new team with which we work, thanks to new acquaintances, there are great opportunities in other cities.
Could you give a couple of tips to our readers, maybe among them there are young photographers?
All you need is perseverance and will. It's like a sport, there are many photographers, but the strongest remain. So shoot and shoot, and you are sure to achieve success.
Many thanks, Alexander. We were pleased to talk with you. On behalf of the entire edition of WeAreArt, I want to wish you new achievements in creative successes, successes, and of course more inspiration!Photogallery Total | 21 pictures
