A small apartment is, of course, not a problem, but the owners of small apartments often face some inconveniences. Only carefully thought out planning can make living in them comfortable for all members of the family. Today we set ourselves the task of understanding how to simply expand the space in an apartment by simple means.

Firstly, to ensure that a limited area of ​​housing does not seem crowded and crowded, it is necessary to optimally use every square meter. Adhering to the recommendations that designers give in such cases, you can additionally create a visual effect on the expansion of space. How to do it?

1. Walls are advisable to paint in light colors or to select wallpaper with a low-key pattern - this will create a sense of spaciousness and light in the room. A large picture in rooms that do not differ in size is contraindicated.

2. The problem of low ceiling is easy to solve, preferring wallpaper with vertical stripes. The illusion of higher ceilings will be supported by vertical paintings, but horizontal ones, on the contrary, will visually increase the volume of the room.

3. Do not choose massive chandeliers, they too clutter the interior and completely destroy the effect of lightness. It is better to buy a small plafond or install several spotlights.

4. It is undesirable to abuse the abundance of accessories. Bulky candelabra, large flowers in appropriate containers, outdoor vases - in this case are contraindicated.

Lightness, and therefore airiness and spaciousness, will add blinds or curtains of pastel colors, necessarily from a thin fabric (white tulle, organza). Window sills in a small apartment should be narrow.

6. The visual perception of the surrounding reality is significantly influenced by mirror planes. Therefore, a great way to increase the space will be a mirror panel on the wall or ceiling. The same effect will create a wardrobe with mirrored sliding doors.

7. It is not recommended to break a not very large dwelling into zones, but this can be achieved by different finishing of the floors. The same floors in the whole apartment will give a sense of integrity and, accordingly, an apparent increase in area.
