Furniture for a narrow kitchen saves space for the most important
Furniture for a narrow kitchen is especially in demand among the inhabitants of cities, where space is in great esteem. These are relatively modern megacities like New York, and the old European capitals.
The Austrian design studio Bonpart has developed a stylish and very practical table, offering it as an alternative to the inhabitants of apartments in the historic center of Vienna, in which the kitchens are more like corridors, and not too wide.
The product, called Altbau (which seems to mean "old house"), is equipped with an additional alder wood worktop and storage compartments hidden behind panels of laminated plywood and HPL plastic.
The construction is supported by a steel frame. Being placed in the kitchen along with other furniture, this table significantly enhances the functionality of its interior.
In this photo, a small sliding table top is visible, suitable for cooking and for eating.
Having clean lines and exceptionally minimalist design, Altbau promotes several simple but effective ideas for any living space: a small apartment or even a compact house. Because it turns a space that could be empty or almost not used, into something very functional.
