Calling this beauty a "hostel" - the language does not turn. This is a hostel for students in Orestad - the new district of Copenhagen in Denmark. It is called - The student town of Tietgen and is a circular residential building with an impressive yard size. The building was built in 2006. On seven floors there are 360 rooms occupying a total area of 26,800 sq.m. The round form of the building is a symbol of equality and unity.
In the courtyard of the hostel you can see the living quarters, the kitchens, which seemed to hang in the air. Windows of all 360 rooms go out and into the inner courtyard of the building. The kitchen plays an important role in the hostel. In total there are 30 spacious kitchens in the building - one for every 12 rooms. Each kitchen has 4 refrigerators, 2 plates and all the necessary appliances for cooking. The kitchens also have dining rooms with colorful chairs.
The one bedroom bedroom occupies an area of 26-33 sq.m. The building also has 30 rooms with two bedrooms (for couples and students who need extra space) with an area of 45 sq.m. All rooms have a similar layout, they are like pieces of cake - the widest wall - the extreme. All rooms have a part with a large window that opens onto a balcony or veranda. All rooms have their own bathroom and toilet with heated floors, toilet and shower. For each block there is also a common room, where all the residents of the block can meet, and the hostel as a whole.
The hostel has received set of awards, including as the best building for students!
