Aimed at reducing energy consumption and environmental stress during transportation, Toyota introduced an ideal vehicle offering freedom of movement in the urban environment, the i-Road personal car Mobility (PMV) in 2013 at the Geneva Motor Show. This compact environmentally friendly car has comfortable, closed seating for two people. Unlike two-wheeled vehicles, this three-wheeled concept is more convenient, and safer, and involves some advantages, such as low operating costs, as well as compact dimensions for convenient parking and maneuverability.
Toyota i-Road with zero emissions, has a fully electric power unit equipped with a lithium-ion battery capable of providing energy to a pair of 2 kW electric motors. PMV can travel up to 50 km on one charge, after which it can be fully charged from a regular household outlet in just three hours.
