Hokkaido Island, located in the north of Japan, is well known to tourists for its unique nature. It is there that there is a pond with crystal clear blue water. This is one of the main attractions of the tourist resort, located near the small town of Biei (Biei). The pond is also known as The Blue Pond. Despite the thorough analysis of water samples from the pond by scientists, there is still no definitive answer. On this account, there are several theories. According to the most common of them, blue is promoted by water from a hot spring platinum, containing natural minerals, which in turn give the pond a blue color.
